Lyrics

Across the ocean on a jumbo fearless at thirty thousand feet
Skidding to a stop at Heathrow safely buckled in my seat
First stop is in Soho where they ply their tourist trade
For the footwear that is famous for the best that can be made.

Black boots of English leather
There’s no equal there’s no better
Way to walk the cobbled streets
To see the sights of London Town
To see the sights of London Town.

On my way to Buckingham to say hello to the Queen
Hope I don’t cause a ruckus when I try to kiss her ring
Once inside the Palace gates I find that she is not at home
Seems she’s also on vacation took a jumbo flight to Rome.

Down on Canterbury street just outside of Nottinghill
In the little shops with flavor they have roses on the sill
You will find me in the pub where I enjoy a pint or two
Having fun in London Town this is what I’m here to do.

Black boots of English leather
There’s no equal there’s no better
Way to walk the cobbled streets
To see the sights of London Town
To see the sights of London Town.

On the banks of The River Thames in shadows of The London Eye
I want to ride the Millennium Wheel but I see its much to high
Instead I walk the London Bridge in my boots of English Leather
don my cap and woolie scarf against that bloody London weather.

Up in famous Carnaby where Nauru jackets were first seen
Down on Doyles’ Baker street where Holmes and Watson were a team
On Abby road and Penny Lane and on the pitch at Wembley
I snap the pictures I‘ll enjoy when I’m back home across the sea

Black boots of English leather
There’s no equal there’s no better
Way to walk the cobbled streets
To see the sights of London Town
To see the sights of London Town.

Now it’s goodbye to Big Ben a pillar of this Anglo Town
It’s so long to the tower where the royal heads went down
I won’t soon forget these days I have enjoyed across the sea
In the birthplace of the Beatles in the land of history
In the birthplace of the Beatles in the land of history.

I won’t soon forget these days I have enjoyed across the sea
In the birthplace of the Beatles in the land of history
In the birthplace of the Beatles in the land of history.
