Sweet memories on the lake

Greetings from Red Beach Lake

Volleyball on the red beach, swimming in the lake
Sailing on the sunfish, now that’s not hard to take
Escaping from the rat race, libations in the hand
Everyone’s in bathing suits, barefoot on the sand.
Cranking up the outboard, I’ve got the fishing poles
Dad's got the latest lures he knows the fishin' holes
But if we ever catch a fish we’ll filet them too
Mama does the cookin', cleaning fish she doesn’t do.

Greetings from red beach lake, wish that you were here
It’s the greatest place to go fishing every year
It’s an anglers paradise, bass jumping everywhere
Wherever you go now, you always want to be here.

Water-skiing on the lake with one ski or with two
We always have the best of times no matter how we do
Everybody gets a chance to take a little run
Another day on the lake, it’s been a lot of fun.

Greetings from red beach lake, wish that you were here
It’s the greatest place to go skiing every year
Feel the spray upon your face, the wind blow in your hair
Wherever you go now, you always want to be here.

We love mama's cookin', when we sit down to eat
She always makes her poppy seed rolls so good and sweet
Burning off the calories it’s badminton on the lawn
Another summer on the lake but soon they will be gone.

Greetings from red beach lake, wish that you were here
It’s the greatest place for good eatin' every year
You never forget those aromas in the air
Wherever you go now, you always want to be here.

It’s barbecue at sundown, mamas steak well done
Finally time to take a break from the summer sun
In the morning when we rise our muscles on the mend
It’s ham and eggs for breakfast then we do it all again.

Greetings from red beach lake, wish that you were here
It’s the greatest place that we visit every year
And make the greatest memories that everyone can share
Wherever you go now, you always want to be here.
